Students attempting to gain admission to the Bachelor of Sports Science program must submit all of the following applicable documentation for review. See the complete Admission Requirements in the Academic Catalogs.

Applicants to the Bachelor of Sports Science Program must have first successfully completed a minimum of 30 credit hours of college courses. If you are lacking these credits, please call Admissions at 251-626-3303.

If you plan to use Financial Aid at some point while you are attending the Academy, please go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the current year’s FAFSA. This will help speed up your admissions process. Note: please include the Academy’s federal code (021706) on your application.

All prospective students are required to complete the online application form and pay the $50 application fee.

Transcripts

We will need official transcripts from every college and university that you have attended sent to us, regardless of the number of classes taken, and whether a degree was earned or not. They can be sent electronically from your school(s) to admissions@ussa.edu or they can be mailed to:

Personal Statement

Your personal statement should be 300-400 words in length, in a Word document format, explaining why you want to pursue the degree and how it will help you in your career. Send this as an email attachment to admissions@ussa.edu.

Student ID Photo

A jpeg-formatted color head and shoulders photo is optional for those interested in receiving a student ID. This photo should be sent as an email attachment to helpdesk@ussa.edu.

Official Report*

Official course-by-course evaluation from an Approved Educational Credential Evaluator. This evaluation must state the equivalent of at least 30 transferable undergraduate equivalent credits required for admissions. * Applies to students with international credits only.

TOEFL Results**

Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) verifying a minimum score of 550 for full-standing admission or a score of 500-549 for conditional admission. An Internet-based score of 79 or above is required for full-standing and a score of 61-78 is required for conditional admittance. **Applies to international students only.
