The UNITED STATES SPORTS ACADEMY is seeking an entry level Communications professional. The successful candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.  Must have excellent written communication skills, including press releases and marketing materials.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within strict deadlines a must. A sports marketing or sports related information background is a plus along with proficiency with desktop publishing programs.

Network Technician

The United States Sports Academy is seeking an experienced Computer Network Administrator who will analyze computer and network-related problems; install, maintain, and troubleshoot all hardware, software and related services, Local Area Network (LAN), data communications and peripherals, VoIP phone and security systems. Other duties include oversight and management of the file servers, active directory, firewall and network security and software license compliance issues.  Contributes to the design, provisioning/deployment, and operations of the enterprise; Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption;  Coordinates installation of router, switches, and other networking devices; Participates in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures; Communicates with other departments in reporting and resolving software, hardware, and operational issues.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least two years of coursework in Computer Sciences.  Must have experience with Cisco routers, switches, hardware installation, configuration and troubleshooting; a thorough knowledge of Ethernet – 100BaseT and Gigabit; be experienced with troubleshooting routing and networking hardware devices; IP based routing; CCNA, or CCNP a major plus.

International Teaching Assignments

The United States Sports Academy is currently planning projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including International Diploma programs with the Ministry of Education in Malaysia, and is seeking qualified faculty to teach subjects in recreation, physical education, sports first aid, sports medicine, sports fitness, sports facilities, event management, security and others.

Anyone who is interested in these opportunities must have a graduate degree in a relevant field.  A terminal degree in the field would be preferred.

Instructors selected to teach in the program can expect reasonable compensation in addition to round-trip airfare, housing, food and transportation while on assignment.  Breaks in the teaching calendar may also afford the instructors the opportunity to experience local cultures and attractions in the different locations.
