General Description
The United States Sports Academy is seeking a professional librarian who will plan and implement Library activities. The Director of Library/Archivist will provide student assistance regarding computer usage, literature location, database usage, and reference material. Responsible for organizing books for easy location and reference. Conduct annual book inventory. Complete search activities for research being conducted by faculty members. Complete NAAL quarterly and annual reports. Responsible for purchasing, cataloging, processing, and checking out books needed by faculty members. Responsible for the Academy’s archives.

Qualifications
Master’s degree required in Library and Information Science. At least 2-5 years in this specific field. A background in sport is desirable. Experience working with media and proficiency using a variety of Windows applications and software is a must. Ability to work independently and initiate projects when necessary, ability to communicate effectively, organizational ability, ability to work under pressure, ability to develop and adhere to deadlines. Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills are required.
