Academy President Gives Presentation in Greece on the Use of Art for Olympic Education

United States Sports Academy President Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich will travel to Athens, Greece on 13-17 May 2010 to present a lecture on Olympic posters and their impact on sport art and the Games.

The presentation is part of the International Olympic Academy’s 10th Joint International Session for presidents or directors of National Olympic Academies and officials of National Olympic Committees. More than 150 Olympic officials from around the world are expected to attend the session.

The session centers around new challenges that Olympic organizing committees and academies must contend with and collaborate on in this era of the Games.

Dr. Rosandich is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Commission for Culture and Olympic Education, which advises the IOC on the promotion of culture and Olympic education and supports programs and activities related to the education of youth through sport. Its role is to advise the IOC Executive Board on what policies the IOC and Olympic Movement should adopt in terms of the promotion of culture and Olympic education.
