Academy’s New Technology Prompts Course Streamlining

The United States Sports Academy has combined a revitalized web site and user-friendly upgrades to offer students an exciting approach to its online academic programs.

Starting with the Fall Semester 2009, beginning 10 September, the Academy’s online graduate courses will be tailored to focus on improved writing with the course content streamlined to meet this end. The streamlining of the Academy’s courses using its new technology has resulted in the composition of the courses in the degree programs below.

Online courses for the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Sports Management program consist of five Units. There are four Units with discussion questions and one Unit consisting of a writing assignment. There is also a class paper. The final examination consists of written responses to seven out of ten questions.

Online courses for the Master of Sport Science (MSS) program consist of five Units. There are four Units with discussion questions and one Unit consisting of a writing assignment. There is also a class paper. The final examination consists of written responses to four out of six questions.

Online courses in the Bachelor of Sports Science (BSS) program consist of ten Units of subject content with a Unit quiz. There are eight Units with discussion questions in which students have the opportunity to participate with other students and two Units with writing assignments of 3-5 pages. BSS courses also have a final examination. The final examination consists of multiple-choice questions.
