Asian Countries Hosting December Games

The Southeast Asian Games and the East Asian Games are scheduled for early December 2009.

Vientiane, Laos will host the 25th edition of the Southeast Asian Games 9-18 December 2009. The biennial multi-sport event involves participants from 11 countries in Southeast Asia. This is the first time Laos is hosting the games. Competing countries include: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam.

The fifth East Asian Games are 5-13 December in Hong Kong. The games are held every four years. Competing countries are: China, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, Chinese Taipei and Guam.
