Grandmaster Steve DeMasco Receives Honorary Doctorate from the Academy

Grandmaster Steve DeMasco (right) was recently bestowed a United States Sports Academy Honorary Doctorate for devoting more than 35 years to teaching Shaolin martial arts. He is founder and CEO of Steve DeMasco’s Shaolin Studios and the founder of the Kids for Life Foundation. DeMasco serves as the Ambassador to the United States for China’s Shaolin Temples and a personal disciple to Shaolin Abbot Shi Yongxin, the spiritual leader to more than 400 million Chan Buddhists. He is a Certified Grandmaster of the Shaolin Temple and holder of a 10th degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo. Presenting the award to DeMasco is Academy Board of Trustees member Tom Cafaro (left).
