IOA in Olympia, Greece Hosting Free Master’s Program on Olympic Studies

The International Olympic Academy (IOA) in Olympia, Greece and the University of Peloponnese are combining to offer an exciting free post graduate studies program called “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events.”

The program is based on the three pillars of the Olympic movement: Education, Sports and Culture, which constitute the foundation for Olympism and Olympic Pedagogy. Objectives of the program are to enable students to further enhance their careers in Olympic programs. The program is three semesters in duration for thirty credits. The program is limited to thirty students.

The program will take place at the facilities of the IOA in Olympia and the facilities of the University of Peloponnese in Sparta. The program is privately financed by the John S. Latsis Foundation and, therefore, no costs will be incurred by the students regarding course fees and accommodations.

The IOA is an internationally recognized center for Olympic studies which has been operating for forty-nine years under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee as a neutral and free dialogue forum.
