United States Sports Academy President and CEO Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich became the first American to earn the Sportsman of the Year award from The Gabarrón International Awards, which were presented Nov. 8 in New York City.

Dr. T.J. Rosandich, the Academy’s Vice President and COO, returned from his fourth around the world trip this year, traveling to Malaysia, China and Gabon to oversee Academy programs.

Dr. Wirt Edwards, the Academy’s Chair of Exercise Science, Dr. Fred Cromartie, the Academy’s Director of Doctoral Studies, and Mr. Brandon Spradley, an Academy doctoral teaching assistant, returned from two-week teaching assignments in the International Diploma in Physical Education and Scholastic Sports (IDPESS) program in Malaysia.

Dr. Jordan Moon, an Academy Distance Learning Faculty member and former department chair, had a paper, “Simplified method of clinical phenotyping for older men and women using established field-based measures,” recently published in Experimental Gerontology.
