Academy Celebrates New Sport Agreement with Republic of Gabon

United States Sports Academy Vice President Dr. T.J. Rosandich (left) meets with Republic of Gabon Presdient Ali Bongo Ondimba in the Gabonese capital of Libreville to discuss the president’s vision for sport in his country.

A meeting between Republic of Gabon President Ali Bongo Ondimba and United States Sports Academy Vice President Dr. T.J. Rosandich resulted in an agreement for the Academy to assess the west-central African nation’s sport program.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Rosandich and President Ondimba’s chief of staff after the Ondimba and Academy VP had a detailed discussion about the President’s vision for sports during a visit to Libreville, Gabon’s capital city.

Under the agreement, the Academy will send a team of experts to Gabon to assess the current state of facilities, equipment, programs and staff qualifications as well as other associated aspects of Gabon’s sport program. Representatives of the Academy will make recommendations based on their findings.
