Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund


On December 27, 2020, the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) was authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA).  In addition, HEERF III Funds, authorized by both American Rescue Plan (ARP) and CRRSAA, was signed into law on March 11, 2021.

As a result, $76.2 billion was allocated in support of education and was distributed across all educational institutions with both funds. USSA has received $24,608 in HEERF II and will receive $41,244 in HEERF III.  Once the ARP funds are received, the United States Sports Academy will have a total of $65,852 in funds from the 2021 CRRSAA act to be shared with our students that have prioritized exceptional need.

This grant does not affect your Financial Aid eligibility nor replace any Financial Aid you have already received.

Starting May 3, 2021, United States Sports Academy will be issuing this one-time grant to qualifying students.  The CRRSAA requires that institutions prioritize students with exceptional need, including but not limited to Pell Grant recipients.  Students can use this grant for any component of the cost of attendance or for emergency costs such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care.
