What to Expect

Welcome!  We are excited that you are considering furthering your education with the United States Sports Academy.  Please take a moment to review the information below, which outlines what to expect when you submit an application to USSA.

Apply for Financial Aid.

If you plan to use financial aid, it is best to begin this process as soon as possible.  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be accessed at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  USSA’s FSA School Code is 021706.  If you have questions about financial aid, please call 251-626-3303 or email our Financial Aid Department at financialaid@ussa.edu.

Track your Admissions Documents in the Applicant Portal.

Soon after your application has been received by the Academy, you will receive an email with your Applicant Portal login information.  You can access the Portal to check which documents have been received by USSA.  You can also upload your documents into the Portal, or can elect to email them instead to admissions@ussa.edu. Transcripts must be official and sent from the issuing institution.

Your Admissions Counselor is Here to Help.

Once your application is received by the Admissions department, an Admissions Counselor will be assigned specifically to you and will assist you throughout the admission process.  Your Admissions Counselor will contact you via phone and email to answer any questions you may have and to inform you of any remaining documents needed.  They will keep you updated as your documents are received and will also update your Portal to reflect which documents have been received.  You can find your Admissions Counselor’s name and contact information in your Applicant Portal.
