The Academy is now using Twitter as a platform to capture your nominations for Athlete of the Month.
The Academy’s Athlete of the Month program is a long-standing program dating back to 1984. Each month, the Academy selects a male and female Athlete of the Month, who then becomes eligible to be named the Athlete of the Year at year’s end. The Athlete of the Year is recognized at the Awards of Sport Ceremony annually in November and last year’s Athletes of the Year were Yuna Kim and Rafael Nadal.

To submit a nomination, find the Twitter Feed on this page, click ‘Tweet #aomnomination’ at the bottom, log in and Tweet your nomination. Your vote will instantly be added to our surveyed data.

Also, submitters are encouraged to hash tag #aomnomination any time on your own Twitter app. Those without Twitter accounts can submit nominations via the email submission form, also below.

After all nominations are received, a panel from the Academy’s faculty and staff will review submissions and determine a winner based on the performance and merits of nominees. Also, Academy officials welcome submitters to attach any links to your Tweet that may help us in the decision-making process.

Don’t have a Twitter account? No problem! You can easily submit your nomination via the email submission form below.
