The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for the supervisory oversight of the Division of Student Services and includes the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and evaluating the offices of Admissions, Bursar, Career Services, Financial Aid, Institutional Research, Registrar, Recruiting, Retention Services, Student Help Desk, Student Information Systems, and Veterans Services. The Director will insure adherence to institutional policy with respect to academic policy and procedures and serve as the initial arbiter of student issues with respect to the foregoing functions. The Director will be responsible for the timely submission of reports drawn from the Student Information System (SIS) to meet institutional needs in Institutional Effectiveness and as required by accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Director serves as the institutional Title IX coordinator and also the Designated School Official (DSO) for the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Master’s degree in higher education administration required with a focus in enrollment management or data science preferred, terminal degree required for appointment as Dean. Knowledge of retention and enrollment management modelling, including experience with one or more statistical packages such as SPSS, Minitab, SAS, or R-. Previous experience collaborating with Academic functions, particularly interfacing with the learning management system (LMS) for early-alert retention initiatives. Ideal candidates will have experience with student information systems/databases, preferably with Ellucian Banner, Jenzabar, or Comspec/Empower SIS Software. Knowledge of institutional effectiveness best practices, accrediting and regulatory requirements, and the admissions funnel is required. Experience in managing online programs preferred. Strong marketing, computer skills and communications necessary. Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in undergraduate and/or graduate admissions and/or enrollment management with a proven track record of success is required. Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills as well as a high level of understanding of the use of technology, process design, business policies, practices and procedures, and change management in the recruitment and enrollment process. Exhibits a high level of professionalism, leadership, creative problem solving, diplomacy, judgement, negotiation, and the ability to manage complex conflicting projects and priorities with close supervision. This position requires excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, and leadership skills. Some evening and weekend work is required.
