General Description

The United States Sports Academy, an independent, regionally accredited, and America’s only sports-specific institution of higher learning is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. The VP of Academic Affairs is the Chief Academic Officer of the institution and a member of the President’s Cabinet.  He or she is responsible for planning, curricular development, and general administration of the institution’s Division of Academic Affairs. In addition, the VP of Academic Affairs will be the designee when the President is out of the office.  As approximately 95% of the Academy’s students are distance learners utilizing a computer mediated, asynchronous and transformational program delivery model in a rolling-registration environment, experience in administering academic programs in a non-traditional setting is a must.


An earned doctorate in one of the disciplines of Sports (Sports Management preferred), with at least ten (10) years teaching and supervisory administrative experience in higher education and evidence of scholarly production are required. The successful candidate must also possess demonstrable and developed computer skills.
