The United States Sports Academy is once again teaming up with GBSB Global Business School to provide an online, instructor facilitated sports marketing course to sports management students at the Barcelona-based institution.

The 10-week post-secondary, non-degree sports marketing course is being taught by the Academy’s director of doctoral studies Dr. Fred Cromartie and chair of sports management Dr. Brandon Spradley. The course launched this month and covers sport marketing principles and the elements of the marketing mix. Topics include advertising, promotions, pricing, sponsorships, and market segmentation.

The Academy in 2020 agreed to work with GBSB Global Business School to teach its world renowned post-secondary, non-degree sport education programs to students there utilizing computer mediated technology. The Academy is an acknowledged leader in the field having first placed its courses completely online more than 25 years ago.

These have varied in scope from the full-charge conduct of a nation’s entire national sport effort to individual coaching clinics, seminars and symposia. As a not-for-profit, independent school of sport, the Academy has been able to provide a combination of expertise expected from a sports university combined with the experience gleaned from applying expertise in this field.

Clients of the Academy have included central sports organizations, (CSOs, such as ministries of youth and sports), national Olympic committees, ministries of education (for physical education and interscholastic sport programs) and sport associations and federations.
