Congratulations Graduates

Editor’s note:  Since students of the United States Sports Academy are able to complete their coursework and degree requirements on their own schedule, the Academy throughout each month immediately awards degrees to students who complete requirements.  Students are not required to wait to the end of a semester or term to receive their degrees.  The Academy congratulates the following graduates who completed their degrees this month.

Doctoral Graduates

Dr. Frans E. Meyer (Syracuse, Utah) – Ed.D. Sports Management, Ed.D. Sports Health and Fitness, Sports Leadership emphasis, with honors. Doctoral dissertation: “Exploring the role of servant-leadership in a Christian high school football program.”

Dr. Pamela J. Reifinger (Hummelstown, Pa.) – Ed.D. Sports Management, Sports Leadership emphasis, with honors. Doctoral dissertation: “Study of select Pennsylvania field hockey coaches’ perceptions regarding concussion injury management.”

Dr. Hui-Chin Wu (Tainan, Taiwan) – Ed.D. Sports Management, Human Resources Management emphasis, with honors. Doctoral dissertation: “A study of physical education directors’ leadership style and role conflict on organization commitment perceived by physical education teachers of colleges and universities in Taiwan.”

Dr. Kimberly Watkins Mark (Chesapeake, Va.) – Ed.D. Sports Management, Sports Leadership emphasis. Doctoral dissertation: “Comparison of boys’ and girls’ sportsmanship in Portsmouth public schools soccer program.”
