1) MILANO (ITALY) WILL HOST THE FINAL OF “WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE 2014”

Milano (Italy) will host, from 3rd to 8th December, Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32nd Milano International FICTS Fest” (www.sportmoviestv.com), worldwide Final of 16 Festivals in the 5 Continents of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television under the motto “FICTS Is Culture Through Sport”. The event, organized by FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, joined with 113 Countries) recognized by IOC – International Olympic Committee, is articulated in 150 Projections7 Meeting, 2 Workshops, 4 Exhibitions, 4 Side Events, 2 Press Conferences, 30 Awards of international guests. “Sport Movies & Tv 2014” is a privileged place of meeting for authors, media, broadcastings, worldwide Networks, houses of productions, majors, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in the 7 competitive Sections.  The FICTS Executive Committee, in extraordinary session decided to transfer all the contents of Tianjin Worldwide Final of “World FICTS Challenge 2014” at “Sport Movies & Tv” due to the lacking authorization of the Chinese State Administration of Radio Film and Television, in accordance with the new and recent governmental disposals.

2) “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2014”: DEADLINE SUBMISSIONS 10 SEPTEMBER

Five days left (10 September) to the closing submissions to “Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32nd Milano International FICTS Fest”. All the materials of productions can be sent to the Organising Committee in two different ways. Digital delivery with the new innovative web tools, digital asset management system and digital sending via cloud through the digital platform of WCPMedia Services who offers to all the participants, the possibility to use, the platform for free deposit on cloud and send in an efficient, fast and reliable audio-visual contents. 3) FICTS IN LAUSANNE AT THE OMN IX GENERAL ASSEMBLY

A delegation led by the FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani in his capacity as Expert of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Education, will attend in Lausanne (Switzerland), where on 4 and 5 September, will take place the IX General Assembly of Olympic Museums Networks at the Olympic Museum. The meeting, opened by the welcome greetings of IOC President Thomas Back and of Director of Museum Dr Francis Gabet, will host 25 Directors of the Olympic Museum from all over the world. Prof. Franco Ascani will present a new FICTS project for audiovisual productions inspired by the idea of Olympism and the spread of its values.

4) “9th TASHKENT INT. FICTS FESTIVAL” IN UZBEKISTAN: 14 – 16 SEPTEMBER

The city of Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) will host the “9th Tashkent International FICTS Festival” from 14 to 16 September. The Festival – directed by Dr Sabir Ruziev FICTS Vice President, President of Uzbek Fencing Federation and President of Uzbek Federation Cinema Television Sportifs – is organized by Uzbek Fencing Federation under the patronage of the Uzbek Olympic National Committee with the partnership of Begim Llc. There are 5 competitive Section of the Festival which will be articulated – besides projections of 40 videos coming from 18 Countries – workshops, exhibitions and meetings. The Opening and Awarding Ceremonies will be held in the “Museum of Olympic Glory of Uzbekistan” while the “Republican House of Cinematographers” will be the seat of projections. The winners of the Festival will be in competition in “Sport Movies & Tv 2014”Final of 16 Festivals of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television, communication and sport culture that will be held in Milano (Italy) from 3 to 8 December 2014.

5) SPORTS CULTURE IN BAKU (AZERBAIJAN) FROM 18 TO 21 NOVEMBER 

Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will host – from 18th to 21st November 2014 – the “II Baku International FICTS Sport Films Festival”. The International event is organized by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Youth and the Azerbaijani Olympic Committee in the framework of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television. The Program of the “2nd Baku International FICTS Sport Films Festival” will include the projection of 150 Works (from 24 Countries) at the presence of international directors and producers, Meetings, Exhibitions, Workshops, Conferences which will take place at the “Nizami Cinema Center” multifunctional cinema (the largest theatre in the South Caucasus) which will also host the Opening and Awarding Ceremonies. The Festival – organized in the same period of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees – will be a promotional moment for sport in Azerbaijan on the eve of the first edition of the “European Games” that will take place in June 2015.

6) “11th ATLANT INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL” A LIPETSK: 23 – 26 SEPTEMBER

Lipetsk (Russia) will host – from 23 to 26 September – the “11th Atlant International FICTS Festival” organized by the “New Cinematoghaph Company” directed by Nikolay Porokhovink, included in the FICTS International Circuit. The Festival avails itself of the Patronage of the Council of Europe, of the Russian Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Politics, of the Russian Olympic Committee, of the Lipetsk Russian administration. The Festival will be structure into projections, workshops, conferences, meetings with the presence of the main television channels like Channel One, the first television channel in Russia.

7) “TV SPORT EMOTIONS – THE BEST TV SPORT CHANNEL OF THE WORLD 2014”

On December 7th in Milano (Italy) – in the framework of “Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32nd Milano International FICTS Fest” – ir will take place the delivery of the “Tv Sport Emotions – The best tv sport channel of the world 2014” given to the best television sports channel which joined the Program “TV SPORT EMOTIONS” launched by FICTS – as “International Federation of Sport Television” – among the 1.133 sports television channels of the world. The delivery of the award will be preceded by the Workshop “New International Sport Movies Television Market Trends” at the end of a series of International Forums (during the FICTs Festivals in 5 Continents) on trends of the television field, Internet and mobile platforms for a comparison on the future developments in order to check the current system of business and in order to analyze future trends through dialogue between different actors in the audiovisual sport production and distribution.

8) SOCCER PROTAGONIST ON SCREEN IN MILANO (ITALY)

In the year of the Brazil FIFA World Cup 2014, soccer will be among the protagonists on screen at “Sport Movies & Tv 2014”scheduled in Milan from 3rd to 8th December. “Maracanazo: the football legend” (Latido Films – Spain) directed by Sebastian Bednarik and Andrés Varela is the documentary about the Uruguay’s historical victory over Brazil during the World Cup played on 16th July 1950 in the temple fo “Maracanà” in Rio de Janeiro. The word “Maracanazo” refers to the defeat, against all odds, of the Brazil against “La Celeste” which conquerest the second title as world champion. “Italia ’90 occasione mancata” (RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana – Italy) tells the story of how Italy arrived at the World Cup – after the rich and the cheerful 80s and how it was organised by the managers of that time. The story was reconstructed by the director Alessandro Chiappetta with interviews to journalists and sports managers.

9) EXSPORT: SPORT, CULTURE, TOURISM FOR ALL FOR EXPO MILANO 2015

The involving Project “EXSPORT: Sport, Culture, Tourism for all”, which will be developed in a year and will end with the EXPO MILANO closure on 31st October 2015, is going to be realized and launched. “EXSPORT”, an innovative format for the territory in Lombardy which realize the preparation and the promotion of the sports cultural and tourist activities, events and initiatives, has the aim of transforming the territory n Lombardy in a focal point for the residents, for the people from other regions and for the 21 millions of visitors who will come from the rest of the world. Beyond many Municipalities, 53 private associative and public bodies and subjects which represent the territory with or many events and initiatives with a coordinated image linked to EXPO 2015which will be articulated in 80 Seats. A schedule aimed to activate the energies of the Lombardy region with the goal of an aware participation and awareness to enhance the sporting, cultural, social and tourist towns of Lombardy in line with the recent actions of the Lombardy Region.
