Giving Tuesday is a national celebration associated with the holidays and the season of giving. The Academy was founded by the late Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich nearly a half century ago on the belief that the quality of sport education and coaching needed to be improved if American athletes were to perform competitively and safely at the top levels in sport. The Academy’s sport-specific programs have helped countless lives around the world through education, and in turn, have improved the quality of the sport profession in America and throughout the world. The vision set forth by the Founding President is more important than ever as sport professionals must be prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly-evolving, fast-paced global sport field.
The Academy is justifiably proud of what we have accomplished over nearly 50 years. Still, we must remain vigilant in preparing our graduates for the challenges of an ever-changing and increasingly more complex sport environment.
