The United States Sports Academy (USSA) is working to provide degree and non-degree sport education programs to members of the USA Rugby Eagle Alumni Association to help them find careers in the sports field when their playing days end.

USA Rugby, the USA Rugby Eagle Alumni Association and the United States Sports Academy (USSA) are proud to announce a new partnership aimed at career advancement for the USA Eagles rugby alumni and athletes. Through the partnership, USSA will provide discounted education opportunities to previous, current, and future USA Rugby National Team players accepted into its academic programs. Known around the world as America’s Sports University, USSA offers accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees in sports management, sports coaching, sports exercise science, and sports studies. It also offers non-degree courses, continuing education, and professional studies programs.

“We know athletes in all sports will eventually look to the next chapter in their lives after their playing days, a shift in life that can be more challenging than most,” USA Rugby Chief Development Officer Chris Reed said. “We’re excited to continue partnering with the Eagle Alumni Association to find additional opportunities and resources for our Eagles as they look ahead to that transition.”

“We are so excited to work with USA Rugby to help their Eagle alumni and athletes to find their path to a career in sports through our degree programs,” USSA Center for Professional Studies and Continuing Education Director George Minoso said. “It is especially exciting to announce this groundbreaking partnership, because it unites athletic excellence from USA Rugby with premier sport education from USSA.”

The United States Sports Academy is an independent, non-profit, accredited sports university created to serve the nation and the world with programs in instruction, research, and service. The role of the Academy is to prepare men and women for careers in the profession of sports using modern technologies and traditional teaching methodologies.
