The United States Sports Academy (USSA) and Bishop State Community College (BSCC) signed an articulation agreement that will help students, faculty, and staff at Mobile’s urban community college to study at America’s Sports University.

Through the agreement, USSA will accept transfer credits from students who have completed an associate’s degree at BSCC. In addition, USSA will accept BSCC faculty and staff wanting to pursue a master’s degree in sports management, sports coaching, sports exercise science or sports studies, or a doctoral degree in sports management. The university is also offering its Presidential Transfer Scholarship to anyone from Bishop State who transfers in, amounting to a 50 percent discount after other aid is applied.

“I love doing whatever it takes to create opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff, and that’s exactly what this agreement does,” Bishop State President Olivier Charles said. “This creates clean pathways for Bishop State students to be able to transfer into one of the fields and programs that USSA has. It also creates opportunities for our faculty and staff to grow and develop as well. I am eternally grateful to the United States Sports Academy for doing this. In education, sometimes we make things hard and difficult when they don’t have to be. USSA removed every barrier possible to make sure that our people can succeed, and I am thrilled about that.”

“We are so excited about this articulation agreement and what it means as we develop a long lasting partnership and relationship with Bishop State,” USSA Dean of the School of Sport Business Dr. Brandon Spradley said.
